Randomly decided to check in after years and see talk of Doordie and Amel. Lots of fun memories! Arguably my first long time character, Narwyn, ended up closely aligned with Amel as his protege.
Doordie was one of the best RP's I ever played with. His stories, with his character Amel, were amazing. Rich, deep, complex. I hope Doordie is doing well! You have a really great Uncle!

having read this thread in its entirety (and contributed constructively, of course) i read it like this... 1) most characters really don't need them; 2) most characters who have lots of -40% bags are powerbuilt anyway, something that the staff are keen to discourage; 3) instead of more and stronger bags, more persistent storage for PCs would be a better idea, IC and OOC; 4) most voters voted that the bag situation was fine as it is (24% at this moment, compared to 17% who voted for them as quest rewards)

BS right out of the equation. I mean, C'mon.
I read a desperate plea to nerf magic spells down to the level of magic items here! I'll get on that right away!
Sarcasm is good, but wholy unnecessary.
PLEASE... nerf magic spells down to the level of magic items.

Actually all of the "Yes" categories added together = 38 votes 54.29% (as of this counting) to the 24 votes (34.29%) that believe the situation is fine as is. (with 8 votes abstaining)

The only easy way to -really- make a more "realistic" low magic server would be to set the (soft) level cap at 6 and have no magic items for sale at all. Now -that-'d cause screaming.
