An IG map of the Island of Thain - Alen Swift took the time to provide a wonderful map of the Island of Thain from an in game and player perspective.
Open Communications and Fear of the DMs Got an issue? It will never get solved if we don't hear about it. Afraid to talk to us? There's absolutely no reason to be -- nobody gets banned without a warning (or three). If you have a legitimate issue, we want to resolve it. While we encourage players to approach us directly, you can go through a player rep as noted in The FAQ, but we're pretty limited in what we can do if there's a lack of evidence from an anonymously filed complaint.
Hair and Tattoo Colors There are NPCs in-game that can change your character's hair and add or remove a tattoo. This is the chart to use if you have to specify a color index in-game.
Chat Log Tools Cleave and Clobber can become two of the IC Post Writer's best friends!
OLDERCustom Character Portraits Custom portraits for your character -- to change these, you must ask the staff to modify your .bic file (or choose the file at character creation). Remember that, for others to see these, they must download and install Thain's custom portrait pack in their NWN directory. - ZIP file containing all Thain character custom portraits as of 17 January 2009. Mushu's Portrait Pack - file containing the rest of the Thain character custom portraits as of 16 February 2010. Dontella's Portrait Pack 5 - file containing the rest of the Thain character custom portraits as of 1 January 2012.
(Alternative portrait packs from earlier dates can be found also, written by Arezima and Fe'ai though these should all be included in the above two links ... though there might be a few older ones there not included and a new pack is now to be found with various portraits there from Jewwe too).
How to post a screenshot on these forums - often useful to annotate IC posts. Please remember to keep screenshots 800x600 pixels or less, or it messes up the width of the rest of the posts in the thread.

PvP and Relics Relics are meant to introduce adversarial RP, but don't forget that not everyone enjoys PvP and the consent rules still apply.
DMs playing their Chars DMs want to play too! Please do not pester them with DM-type stuff while they're on as players. Send a PM or ask someone who is actually on as a DM!

Spears are now a one handed weapon on Thain, this override will allow for the one handed spears to be seen in your game. .. unzip the file and place it in your NWN override folder.
IG Chat Commands - You can always type "/help" in the talk channel to give yourself a book of available chat commands, but if you like having a printed list, this is the thread to see so you remember it's /follow not /autofollow (and other common typos).
Summon appearances list - Allows you to set the appearance of a summons by chat commands. And this post shows which are safe to use in front of guards.
/craft system - Additions to the new Crafting systems to access base items through chat commands.
